I participated in 2 craft fairs this past week. The first one, on Wednesday was hosted by my daughter’s employer. Over 40 crafters had booths on the lawn of the company’s main buildings. It was a beautiful sunny fall day without too much wind to worry about. I had lots of fun meeting and talking to people and sharing what I love to do.
The second craft fair was on Saturday. This was a much more intimate event hosted by Liz Kapa, a lovely lady and talented artist. Liz hosts events in her home in the spring and the fall each year. Liz is also a wonderful cook and treats the crafters to a delicious breakfast and lunch. What a nice day!
Although I enjoyed being a part of both of these events, I am glad to now be able to focus my time and energy on other things…….next up, Thanksgiving!
We are having a rainy day here in “sunny” So. Cal. Perfect crafting weather! I’m having a great time creating and getting ready for a couple of craft fairs that I am participating in next week.
There were only 3 of us at last night’s JOY banner workshop, but we had a fun time creating this cute banner to add to our Christmas decor.
As I finish things that I’m working on, I’ll have more photos to share.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Beginning with the awesome SOTM for November, Cherish The Day. This stamp set makes it so easy to highlight a special date whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, holiday or any special event. That means the shape is available on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge! Just cut the shape at the specified size and you know that the stamp image will fit perfectly! The best part is that the Stamp of the Month can be yours for only $5 with any $50 Close To My Heart Order. You can also purchase it for $17.95.

There are those red outlines again, indicating shapes found on the AP Cricut cartridge. I love how easy it is to add stamped images to my projects without all of the tedious hand trimming!

At this time of the year I have LOTS of craft projects rolling around in my head. One of the things I need to get working on soon is my Christmas cards. Traditionally I send out hand-made cards with a family photo enclosed. It’s one of those things that I love to do even though it takes quite a bit of time. Today I thought I’d share a great way to speed up the process and still have beautiful handmade cards to share with loved ones. When you pair your new Close To My Heart Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge
with some of the delightful My Acrylix® stamp sets featured in the Autumn/Winter
2011 Idea Book, you’ll find yourself making an armful of holiday cards in just
one sitting! Watch this video to discover even more tips for streamlining your
holiday card creation session.

How did you spend your Halloween night?
Traditionally, our family all gathers at our house and we Trick or Treat in the neighborhood. As our family has grown, so has this tradition. Last night we had 12 little treats here with their attending adults bringing the total to 26, what fun! Our daughter is expecting a baby in January so next years group will grow again. In the meantime the new little one was not to miss out on last night’s festivities. We dressed her up like Humpty Dumpty! The second photo is of our 3 grandsons.
After a little pre Trick or Treat pizza They all hit the road and had a wonderful time. I stayed behind with a fire and a book to read while handing out treats and my husband watched a disappointing San Diego Charger loss. Fun night! (not counting the football game)
