Everything ABC's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everything ABC’s Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter D.  This may be the name  of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has  chosen as their D element will be featured in their post.

If you came from  Serene Scrapping with Alicia then you’re on the right track!

For my letter D project I used the Dakota paper pack and Rugged Dude stamp set to decorate a wooden photo frame.

First, I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper to the frame and trimmed the edges with our finishing files. This not only creates super smooth edges, it also secures the bond of the paper to the wood so the edges of the paper don’t lift. I then stamped the pocket with Outdoor Denim ink in 2nd generation stamping and the stitching and “Dude” in 1st generation. The tag is stamped with the pocket stamp in 3rd generation to give it a faded denim look, and the edges are inked. I love that different shades of any color can be created simply and easily by using generational stamping! The stars and tag were cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. I gave the rivets a little shine with some Liquid Glass, added a bit of Bronze Glitz Glitter Gel to one of the stars, and finished it off with some grey Sparkles. Several of the elements are popped up using 3D foam tape.

I hope that you enjoy the hop and are inspired by what you see. Please take a moment to become a follower and leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you.

Happy Crafting!

Kathy
